After a wild, wet week of rain and wind the weather finally looked a little brighter during the day on Wednesday. With muddy conditions to contend with, 8 competitors turned up with the expectation of a slippery track to overcome and no doubt some dirty muddy shoes to take home. After the start of the event the heavens opened right on cue and a drenched, bedraggled group returned to complete this weeks event. Here's hoping the weather starts to improve before next week. We had 14 starters this week with two great PBs coming from Chris Blewitt who beat his record by 4min 27sec and also a huge effort from Luke Mitchell beating his time by 1min 28sec.
A warm welcome to Gabrielle and Skye who came along and joined in for the first time. Well done girls.
We would also like to wish Liza Martini a very BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Thursday. We hope Kim and the girls spoil her rotten over in Canada. (the first summer birthday).

Today's wet and wild weather meant there were only 10 starters on hand for the weekly Broulee runners meeting.
However three runners made the most of the event by getting in some much needed wet weather training for the state cross country championships which will be held in Sydney this Friday.
St Mary's Moruya students Rhys Flood, Shayne Hargraves and Georgia Norman will all take part in the state event Friday after posting great times at the zone championships in Canberra. We wish them well and look forward to hearing how their respective races go.

What a great turn out for the first meet of winter, with 29 participants starting. A big congratulations must go to Dave Connaughton who did his 200th run today and is the first Broulee runner to have reached this milestone. He would like to thank Mike and Robyn for starting up the group and for all their continuing motivation and encouragement.
